Inspiring. Entrepreneurial. That’s how one would describe the success story of this husband wife team of Jeffrey Delkin and Rachel Speth, the founders of eco-friendly bamboo housewares venture – Bambu.
Bambu designs, produces, and markets handcrafted home products made from bamboo and other renewable materials. Prior to embarking on this venture, Jeffrey and Rachel were in the middle of flourishing corporate careers in the city of Portland, Oregon; but it seemed they wanted to do something more than that. That’s when they moved to China – the biggest producer of bamboo in the world and the source of maximum bamboo applications.
Building their production base in China enabled Jeff and Rachel source bamboo locally, achieve highest standards of production quality while managing to come up with pioneering designs and keep cost under control. The bamboo product portfolio ranges from dinnerware, cutlery, cooking tools and prep utensils, travel accessories, table top accessories, all kinds of kitchenware to gift ideas to baby & kids collection and gourmet hospitality products.
The company’s website proudly proclaims, “Our products come from nature. Our ideas are inspired by the materials we work with, and crafted in a way that supports sustainable business practices”. Bambu products are available across many countries through their distributor partnerships.
